Making Connections

5th Annual Pediatric Brain Injury Conference and Resource Fair

We are thrilled that you are interested in participating in the 2021 Making Connections Conference and Resource Fair in Austin, Texas on October 23, 2021! The event will be from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm at Woodlawn Baptist Church (4600 Menchaca Road). Our keynote speakers are Dr. Brandon Crawford, Dr. Paul Harch, and Dr. Kenneth Proefrock. They will each present individually and then as a panel at the end of the day. Participants will be required to wear a mask unless they have a medical reason for not wearing one.

There are several large events going on in Austin the same weekend. Hotel rates are very expensive in South Austin and Downtown. Hotels right outside of Austin are a lot more affordable. We have found an affordable hotel in Round Rock. Email chelsea@teamlukehopeforminds.org if you would like to book a room at the Staybridge Suites in Round Rock at a rate of $139/1 Queen Bed or $169/1 King Bed .  If you have any questions, please email events@teamlukehopeforminds.org.

Below you will find a variety of information and several options to register or sponsor. Take a few minutes to read through this page and then choose from the options below what you would like to learn more about. Click here to view the conference flyer!

Registration:

This year, we are offering both in-person and visual attendance to the conference. As a result, we are offering three registration options: individual in-person registration, family in-person registration and virtual registration.  There are several events happening in Austin this weekend, so hotels in South Austin and downtown have raised their rates significantly. Please email events@teamlukehopeforminds.org if you need help finding affordable hotels.

Registration Cost:

Individual, in-person: $10

Family, in-person: $15

Virtual: no cost to register, but we do ask that you make a small donation if you wish to receive the sponsor kits containing all the information and goodies from our sponsors.

If you choose to attend the conference virtually, you will be provided a link to the presentations one week after the event. Due to the fact that we have so many presentations running simultaneously, we are unable to live stream the event at the same time it is taking place. All sessions will be recorded and edited and then shared with you.

Why do we charge for the conference? Each person who attends the conference in person will be provided breakfast, lunch and snacks. Your registration goes toward offsetting the cost of food. Additionally, we hire professional videographers to record the conference so that we are able to add the conference presentations to our website. This gives each participant as well as any new families access to incredible content that can be referenced at any point.
