Team Luke Hope for Minds provides the following resources for families who have a child through the age of 18 with an acquired brain injury:

-5 hours of counseling through a 3rd party
-Virtual Support Groups for caregivers
-Virtual Support Groups for siblings (starting Fall 2022).
-Our Pediatric Brain Injury Resource Guide
State Support Services
-Connection with other families
Making Connections: 6th Annual Pediatric Brain Injury Conference & Resource Fair (Travel scholarships are available).

What is the criteria for applying?

  1. The child must be 18 years or younger at the time of the application.
  2. The injury must have occurred after birth.
  3. In order to apply for your child, the child must live with you 51% or more and be listed as a dependent on your most recently filed IRS 1040. If the child is not listed on your most recently filed IRS 1040, then we need a copy of both your most recently filed IRS 1040 and the most recently filed IRS 1040 on which the child is listed as a dependent.
