Anatolia suffered a traumatic brain injury in her home country Ukraine. Her injury was an open skull fracture that resulted in damage to her optic nerve and diminishing function of her frontal lobe. Growing up, her injury created many difficulties for her, particularly in the summertime, due to schedule unpredictability and the slowing of academic and social growth. We were honored to be able to assist The Cloward’s in sending Anatolia to a summer program that provides her with a predictable routine and engages her socially and academically.
