Meet Wes. He suffered a traumatic brain injury from a car accident in 2017.
His mother, Emily Stone, reached out to TLHFM with the hopes of receiving financial assistance for laser therapy at Austin Center for Developing Minds.
After having been disqualified by other need-based programs, Emily was relieved to find out TLHFM gives to children with acquired brain injuries regardless of socioeconomic status.
“Granting us that money made it easier to make a hard decision to take a chance with an expensive therapy,” Emily said.
“This is such a horrible ‘club’ we’re all in together but it does make it somewhat easier to know that we’re not alone. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.”
